Volunteer FelineTransporters

We are a FELINE transport group dedicated to moving cats and kittens at risk of euthanasia. We are always looking for drivers and administrators.

NITT

Helping CACC cats find homes!

Twice a month we move about two dozen cats to be fully vetted and "fixed".

Spay-A-Thon

We are always in the need of cat carriers. Our goal is to have all NITT drivers assigned a NITT carrier to make transport safer and less stressful for the cat.

NITT

Volunteer feline transport

We are a group of volunteer feline transporters moving felines from open admission shelters to state-approved rescues or their fosters. As of May of 2018 we have conducted 1,625 transports, saving almost 4,000 lives!

Spay-A-Thon

Helping shelter cats find homes

NITT is the transport source for the Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) Spay-A-Thon. In conjunction with the Anti Cruelty Society and 4 Paw Luv, 20 to 30 cats are spayed or neutered twice a month. The cats are then placed on the adoption floor or made available to Homeward Bound Partners for rescue at no cost. As of May of 2018, we have transported over 800 Spay-A-Thon cats which are NOT included in our rescue numbers!

Donate

Carriers and funds

We are always in the need of cat carriers. If you have one you would like to donate, please click the link below or go to our donation section and one of our drivers will come pick it up.

All our services are free of charge, so donations for website maintenance and incidental costs are always appreciated.

ABOUT

NITT

NITT started April 18, 2014 when its founder, a transporter, was looking for other transport groups to join and stumbled onto the CACC Cat Transfer Team. There he saw the daily plight of Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) cats and the daily struggle to move these animals to fosters and rescues, sometimes a considerable distance from the facility. Starting with seven drivers, we now have over 300 drivers. Help us grow even more by volunteering as a driver. The more drivers we have, the more cats we can help.       JOIN - DRIVE - SAVE
